Still the Amazon Forest

Most of you might be asking yourselves why I said "still" the Amazon forest...
I used the word "still" because this is a topic that has been on the main news for a while. Recently, the environment issue reached the top of news due to global warming. I don't know abt you guys, but I have been listening a lot abt saving Amazon and abt international pressure over Brazil's Government in order to preserve the rain forest since a long time.
I was reading today's newspaper and one more time I faced an article abt international pressure regarding protection of Amazon forest. This time it was abt a meeting held in Brussels. According to the article, those were the conclusions of the meeting:
1. Deforastation of Amazon forest will cause damages to the whole;
2. We all depend of a healthy environment, so all countries should get together to help Brazil saving the forest;
3. All the rich countries had destroyed their own natural resources in order to become rich, so they can't really blame Brazil for doing the same;
4. Since rich countries screwed up things in the name of development and Brazil needs to develop, they might even help Brazil with financial support in order to develop without destroying the forest;
5. There is a very strong resistence of brazilian society against any kind of international intervention over Amazon forest.

First of all: I don't need to say that I care abt the environment, abt the global warming and that I agree that we need to save natural resources (including Amazon forest). I already changed my daily routine in the way I could (I'd rather take the subway than a bus and I rarely turn on the air conditioning, e.g.).

Well, I must say the conclusions are almost right and that we really need to do something regarding the rain forest. However, I have some observations to make.
I don't think giving money to brazilian Government will help, because the money will never be use on the protection of the forest or in anything to make the country develop without destroying natural resources.
Corruption is a reality in Brazil and something that won't change so soon. Of course we need help, but the truth is that we can't trust or wait for Government acts and this kind of financial support would be probably a huge mistake.
Instead of giving money to a corrupted government, it would be better to creat serious NGOs and give financial and general support to those who really work for environment preservation: focus the work on the education abt sustainable development and society awareness. But please, I am not talking about boring speechs... Let's make it appealing to people and fun to kids.
Btw, Brazil does have a law system that allows the creation of those ONGs with no big issues.
They forget abt one particular and really relevant point: we can only sell something if there is someone willing to buy it.
Brazilian forests are being destroyed basically due to 2 reasons: to sell wood/plants and to cultivate soybean (basically used in the production of animal food). So, to whom does Brazil sell the wood/plants from Amazon forest? What are we doing with that much soybean? We're selling everything to the same countries that say we need to preserve Amazon forest!
I am not smart, but I do remember that I learned a couple of things regarding offer and demand back in school days. If there is a demand of people willing to buy wood or willing to buy soybean produced in a devasted forest, then the number of people devasting the forest in order to supply this demand will always increase!
Pay attention: I am not saying the fault is all of the other countries. I am sure I am also responsible, but don't you think we are not the only ones still doing wrong things?
They talk a lot about international pressure over Brazil to preserve the forest, but what abt international pressure over themselves?! This is a two-way road and we can't solve it only by pointing to others fault with dirty fingers!
Come on! What is this talking about "the world can't really blame Brazil for devasting the forest in order to get developed"?! I agree, that most of those countries devasted their forests and they can't really judge us, but Brazil should use them as an example to not be followed!
We are not devasting forest to get developed, we're walking backwards! This is getting rich no matter what... Btw, we are not even getting that rich, because the largest part of brazilian population is poor and they are starving. I wish they're getting richer!
Then, they concluded that brazilian society is against any kind of international intervention and it might be a problem. Of course we are against it! I am scared of any intervention and I am against it too.
Have you ever heard abt biopiracy? Every year lots and lots of foreigns come to our forests because of biopiracy: they come, take our plants with them without permission, develop new medicine and charge us a lot of money for those medicine. There are people who want some kind of intervention for good reasons, but we all know that any eventual intervention won't have the unique goal to protect the forest.
Other countries don't want to get into Amazon forest just to protect it... We are not that much naive and I am glad to know brazilians are against any kind of intervention. I am sorry if you guys don't agree with me, but I don't believe in any kind of intervention in Amazon forest.
We can't forget that Brazil is an independent country that has sovereignty over its territory. If other countries wanna help us, so make it without any governmental intervention. Wanna help to preserve the forest? So come over here and create, join or support a NGO and those who work serious abt environmental preservation.
Do you think I am being too much radical? So ask yourself if you would like to have a strange giving you orders in your own home... The idea is the same! Think abt it and you will understand that might be a solution without any international intervention.
I am sorry for another long and boring post... I promise next one will be shorter and abt something nicer :-)
Love you all (even those who didn't read the post! lol)

OOOOOOOh My dear Lucy where are your legs madam let me touch them once caz. according to old ppls when you touch someones foot you get lil bit qualities from them and today i saw simply Awesome n very b'ful quality inside your heat which came out here on Blogger that is your love with Nature...

To be true I don't know much abt forests and neither i know wat is the best way to maintain our environment neat and clean but yeh me you and everyone living here on earth lil bit educated must be know n of the fact how much these trees matters in our normal life...

Actually the problem is very simple we want forests and development too which is not so easy i'm saying all these because i'm seeing same problem here... i am putting up here in New Delhi capital of India and just near by Delhi there was a very small place named Gurgaon full of Mountain vally Trees and beautiful nature but ppl living there were not very rich sort of but now within 7-10 yrs i saw a drastic change in Gurgaon.. now you can say it's one of the Richest place of India .. you can see buildings, shoping malls, multiplexes, 16 lane roads bla bla but now u can't see tree everywhere one umbrella should be in your hand every time if you going out for shopping, earlier it used to be 30-35 degree temp but now it's 40-45 damn skin killing temp in summers.. You can run you bike like helicopter but you can't play under the shadow of Tree, you can go for shopping and find 24 shopping malls on same road but you can't breathe properly due to pollution, you can see 5 story 1 km long shopping mall but you can't see one green belt here... Is it developement??? It's a bitter truth we are just digging our Grave but only good point is that this Grave yard is not natural we ppls are designing it with roads, buildings, industries, shopping malls etc etc and all other luxuries... We are killing gift of God that is nature... Isn't enough to make God Cry?? what he made and what we ppl are doing with his beautiful place..

Now it's not so easy to stop all these within few min. hrs. months or in yrs... If we all want to develop our nations like India and Brazil then we should have a Proper planning for this so that we develop in real meanings not like those who call them as developed nation but digging grave for there future and giving suggestion to others ...

Lucy it's really not easy to save trees, natural environment and same time we dream to be called as developed nation... like you we all need to think ourself how can we help in saving nature and use natural way to enjoy most beautiful life. Our Government should work with proper planning keeping in mind everything caz. until and unless everyone won't take initiative it's not goona work...

I wish n pray our governments and everyone will think about all these matters and do there job the best they can otherwise there won't be anything which can help us once we get into same grave already made by few DEVELOPED Nations.

I can't belive you actually read this post!!! I am almost writing a post about it!!!

That is why I say you are my loyal reader!!!!

And you totally got what I was trying to say abt "development" and the way it is damaging ourselves!

We do have to find a way to "develop" without damaging nature and future generations like we're doing right now... We are not really becoming developed, we are just destroying ourselves and putting in jeopardy the future of our planet and the next generations!

Keep reading and keep sharing your thoughts!!

Correction: we don't have to find a way to develop without damaging nature... We already have those tools, but we don't use them!

And one more time I am acting like a lazy revolutionary... I should stop talking that much and then I should do something for real! Ashame on me!!!
