Last night I watched a very interesting comedy movie named "Idiocracy".
The movie is basically about a guy who is frozen in an army experience and gets back to society only after 500 years. I know that we all have seen something similar before, but this one is better because it shows how human kind might become after some hundred of years: we might become a bunch of idiots.
Why or how would we become a bunch of idiots? The movie shows us the reality of our society. Since people with less education reproduce more than well-educated people, we might become a society made out of idiots if we don't start doing something right now.
Pay attention: the "something" we should do is not only about birth-control. The something we have to do to stop this idiocracy process is give good education to people, so they would be able to understand the responsabilities of having kids and wouldn't have babies like rabbits. But then, it would be their choice and not something imposed by others.
Of course there are some exaggeration in the movie since it's a comedy, but it's a well-thought silly comedy.
I personally don't like comedies that much, but this one really made me see the obvious: human's future is closer to an idiocracy than to a "futuristic-robotic-matrix era".
The trailer of the movie isin't that nice, so I suggest you to also watch the movie's intro so you can have an idea of what the movie is. Take care and have a nice weekend! Love you all :-)
